This is what we are aiming for; what we are in the process of becoming. It is the goal to which we aspire. Everything we do, and the way we do it, is shaped by this vision. It is our heartbeat.

Our vision is to be a church that…

» For God’s pleasure and glory
» Who worship in a real and honest way –without pretense
» In a contemporary musical style that pushes the boundaries
» Accessible and profoundly simple
» Intimate & heartfelt
» That lifts Jesus up so that all may be drawn to Him
» To worship in a way that seeks, and is filled by, the presence of God

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Dueteronomy 6v5

“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise–the fruit of lips that confess his name.” Hebrews 13v15

“Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord” Ephesians 5v19

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” John 4v23

» To be relevant without compromising or dumbing down our message or practice
» To show hospitality to all
» Introduce and live the counter culture of the kingdom
» To make reproducing disciples
» To be a gateway through which the kingdom of God flows

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden… In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5v14,16

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28v19-20

“Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16v15

“So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there.” Acts 17v17

“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Mark 2v17

» Empowered and enabled by the Holy Spirit:
» To worship
» To bear fruit
» To minister
» Where the exercise of spiritual gifts is widespread among all
» The work of the Holy Spirit is displayed in healing and deliverance
» Evidence of the fruit of the spirit

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1v8

» That has a deep understanding of God’s mercy toward us, and the healing and deliverance that he has brought to our own brokenness.
» This is God’s extravagant mercy and unmerited kindness.
» To be a reflection of Gods heart of mercy toward others.
» To have hearts that are compassionate.
» To be non-judgmental
» People who are moved by mercy
» It is our desire to have mercy as our motivation

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3 v 17

4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2v4&5

But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Matthew 9v13

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6v8

Vision logo explained

connection + connection + connection = 3connections

 BUT

connection x connection x connection = connection³

The result of the second equation is exponentially greater. The “x” factor in the equation is the work of the Holy Spirit. The connections we have with God, one another and the world are amplified and made more effective by the work of the Holy Spirit.

[m] Represents the mercy that must be a hallmark of all we do. Its emphasis is twofold: God’s mercy to us and the mercy that we should show to others. Mercy is part of all we do.

Our vision is to develop a church that completely embodies these ideals. We aim to become a resource church that plants like-minded churches in East London and beyond.
